Welcome! I'm Marshall Vaughan, a Certified Breathwork Practitioner and Men’s Coach.
In my journey over the past few years, I've developed a profound fascination with the transformative power of Breathwork. This practice has been my compass in navigating and enhancing various aspects of my life – from managing mood and improving health to better regulating stress responses.
Why Breathwork? It's not just a technique; it's a tool that has become indispensable to me. Through my own experiences, I've discovered the profound impact it can have on our well-being, providing a gateway to heightened awareness and self-discovery.
Beyond Breathwork, I've found tremendous support in men’s groups. These circles have become a sanctuary for me to voice my thoughts, share insecurities, embrace vulnerability, and receive unconditional support from fellow men. Being a part of these groups has not only shaped my personal growth but has also inspired me to create something meaningful for others.
Enter Higher Frequency Holistics, a culmination of my journey and passion. After immersing myself in various communities, dedicating countless hours to seeking wisdom, and learning from incredible mentors, I felt compelled to craft a unique system. Higher Frequency Holistics is designed to assist both men and women who often grapple with overwhelm, stress, and anxiety, providing them with the tools to empower their lives and take control of their nervous system.
My Journey.
From Unchecked Anger to Holistic Healing
Growing up, I was fortunate to experience a childhood filled with love and support. My parents, pillars of strength, instilled wholesome qualities in my character. My father's tireless work ethic set a powerful example, and my mother ensured I felt heard, seen, and held, providing a foundation of love, affection, safety, and validation.
However, the safety of my upbringing had its pitfalls, especially when it came to handling anger. Despite the love and stability in my upbringing, my unchecked anger became a formidable challenge.
My formative years were spent working for my father's construction company. In this blue-collar environment, I was often surrounded by highly masculine figures who, though skilled in their craft, often navigated life with unchecked tempers.
Their way of handling stress and frustration, which involved expressing anger through outbursts, became my template for dealing with life's challenges. Their stories of weekend escapades filled with influences like women and liquor, coupled with their expressions of frustration, created a blueprint for how I thought a "man" should show up in the world.
As a result, when things didn't go my way, I mirrored what I had learned. I would unleash my anger, falling back into destructive habits like numbing out through alcohol and nicotine, throwing temper tantrums and resorting to shame and manipulation. What I didn't understand then was that this behavior wasn't just about me; it was a product of the modeling I had witnessed throughout my formative years.
As a teenager, I lacked the tools to manage my anger maturely. I unleashed it onto others, unaware of healthier alternatives.
What compounded the issue was the lack of confrontation or guidance. Instead of addressing my anger, my family often distanced themselves from the situation, leaving me to believe that this behavior was acceptable. It created a pattern where, once the storm of my rage subsided, I was met with love and acceptance, reinforcing the notion that my anger wasn't a significant issue.
It wasn't until a pivotal moment in my life that I realized the profound impact my anger had on my relationships and well-being. This realization became the catalyst for my commitment to change and the beginning of my transformative journey with breathwork, cold water immersion, and men's circles — my holistic healing journey began.

Empowering Myself Through Breathwork and Cold Immersion
Discovering the transformative power of breathwork has been a game-changer in my life. It's like unlocking a toolbox that was always with me – my breath. Through various breathwork practices and techniques, I've learned that we possess an incredible ability to regulate our nervous system in any situation.
Whether I need to energize my body, manage stress, or promote restful sleep, there's a breathwork technique for every scenario. It's the all-in-one medicine we all have access to without the need for a prescription.
Breathwork has become my compass in navigating life's challenges. It empowers me to choose my response to situations, offering a sense of control and clarity. The ability to upregulate or downregulate my nervous system has become an invaluable skill, enhancing my mood and resilience in the face of adversity.
Cold Immersion Therapy: Taking My Nervous System to the Gym
In addition to breathwork, my journey led me to embrace cold immersion therapy, an experience akin to taking my nervous system to the gym. Cold immersion exposes our bodies to micro-stressors, known as eustress, fostering adaptability in our nervous system's response to stress.
Daily dives into cold immersion have rewired my relationship with stress. Now, when faced with challenges, my nervous system responds in a way that feels empowering. I've developed a lag time between the event and my response, allowing me to assess situations with a clear mind. This intentional pause enables me to provide a more adapted and mature response, leading to better outcomes for myself and those around me.
In essence, breathwork and cold immersion have become my allies on the journey to holistic well-being, offering me tools to navigate life with intention, resilience, and a profound sense of self-empowerment.
